Pest Control Lead Generation
You Need More Leads
So, you own a Pest Control Company and you’re looking for more leads / customers. You’ve come to the right place!
Your Primary Responsibility
As the owner of a Pest Control Company, one of your primary responsibilities is to make sure that there are enough leads. Without leads, your customer base will gradually dwindle or you will possibly not reach the full revenue potential that you otherwise could have.
Where Can You Get Leads?
That being the case, what are some of your options for pest control lead generation?
One of the traditional ways of acquiring new customers in the pest control space is to knock doors. Many of the largest pest control companies started this way originally, long before the internet was even born.
If you can stomach the up-front expenses and logistics of door-to-door sales, it can become a great staple for continual yearly growth. The downside, of course, is the hiring and upfront costs associated with paying for the initial sales to occur.
It used to be that the yellow pages were a fantastic lead source. These days, however, Google and Bing have taken the place of traditional doorstep advertising.
Facebook Ads & LinkedIn Ads
Most Pest Control Companies that have tested Facebook ads have not had the results that they are looking for. This is partly due to the lack of intent that exists with facebook advertising. Usually, people will call a Pest Control Company when they have a current, specific need.
With Facebook and LinkedIn, however, there aren’t really many great ways to identify people that are currently experiencing an event that requires an exterminator.
Google Ads & Bing Ads
This brings us back to Google and Bing. Even if your budget is extremely limited (less than $2,000 / mo.), it’s worth it to give Google and perhaps Bing a shot to see if you can get the return that you are looking for.
Keyword Targeting & Landing Pages
Many pest control companies find that if they go after the right keywords and have good landing pages that convert into leads at above 20%, then they are able to make the numbers work relatively quickly (within a single season) so that they can advertise on search engines in an ongoing basis.
